100 words 6
You look around, and there are many people. Some are young, some are old, some are male, some are female, all different, none the same. You are surrounded by people, tons of people, but you have never felt so alone. There are people running, some go into you, like you’re a figment of their imagination. You look into peoples eyes and see their soul but they do not see yours. Then, you turn your head ever so slightly and see a man, he is doing the same. You wait for his eyes to reach yours, and then it happens.

I take a seat on the train; look up from the paper, a man glances at me and he looks ragged and old. He wears barely anything in the middle of the winter. I sit there all dressed up in my black suit. The man looks familiar, I see him everyday. He asks me where I am off to and I tell him to work, where I just started. He somehow knows the exact address and number. We talk for a while and figure something out. He tells me he got laid off one day before I started working there.

Stumble
Stumbling down the subway steps like a mad man, reports on “How the Economy is Crashing” for my business class. I’m just a college student hurrying to class which is important for my future life. Before I even make it down the steps, all that stress goes away in an instant. I could smell, taste, and feel the overwhelming presence of her beauty. It struck me like an unexpecting wave pummeling my heart. She dazzled me, sent me flying across the platform in front of a moving train. Should I talk to her? Or, should I just get to class?

You’re running with all your might to catch that train. You must get there. Your job depends on it, and your job is most important. It’s what you think about nonstop, whether alone or with family. It consumes you. You’re angry. You hate being late. Your train leaves in one minute, and you realize that you’ve missed it. Now what? You see people coming and going. You think about your family and all the time you didn’t spend with them because you had work. You regret your decisions. You realize work has overrun your life and you want to change.

“Are we gonna see dinosaurs, ma?” Davids voice broke the concentration of Cindy, and she turned to glance at him for a moment. About to answer, she was interrupted by being shoved by the person in line behind her. She tugged her hand lightly out of the grip of David, getting the money out of her purse while requesting two tickets for the Bronx. Once she had them, she turned around, her hand opening and she anticipated the gentle touch of David. It wasn’t there. Her brown eyes opened wide, and she searched the station. “David?” He was gone. Why?

Bob; just an ordinary guy.
Bob, the most ordinary man you would ever know. Every morning he gets up, goes to work and comes back home, from a job he hates, to his monotonous apartment Bob takes his routine five o’clock train to Penn Station. He gets off his train, noticing the crowded station, and waits for two hours on a bench, to make sure he has enough time to get to work. When it’s time to get to work, he walks out of the station. As he walks out, his eyes open in horror as he sees the collapsing of the Twin Towers.
